Introduction:
Authors report that 6 hybridoma cell lines, which secret
monoclonal antibodies (McAb), have been produced by means
of the fusion between mouse myeloma cells SP2/O and spleen
cells from BALB/C mice immunized with whole M. leprae plus
unique phenolic glycolipid-I of M. leprae of MLSS protein.
They were named H2£¬¢ó E10£¬£¨5£©A3£¬£¨6£©A3£¬D10£¬ D6A8£¬D6C8.
They were divided four groups: 1.H2: only against epitope
of PGL-2; 2. D6A8: against both of whole M. leprae and protein
of M. leprae; 3. D6C8: only against whole M. leprae; 4.
D10: cross-reaction with all of mycobacteria tested, but
not against PGL-I. These McAbs were very useful to identify
M. leprae, developing methods for leprosy serological diagnosis,
detect and analyze antigen of M. leprae and so on.
