Abstract:
Objective: To explore whether the differences were presented between strains of M. leprae in China or not. Methods: Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was used for detecting the geno types of M. leprae of samples from patients with leprosy in different parts of China. Results: After PCR, 16 samples detected all displayed positive results. 7 of which display 91bp DNA fragments, and 9 samples 97bp DNA fragments. Conclusion: Above mentioned results suggested the presences of genotypes differences of M. leprae and distributions in different parts of China.
